Our warm, cosy and homely area caters for children aged 0-24 months where children learn to explore the world around them. Our professional and experienced teachers develop one to one relationship with your child and ensure that each child receive quality care and attention.

Tuakana/Teina

In our over two's room, teachers create an environment where children are supported by kaiako and peers to reach their goals and aspirations. Children are provided with a variety of planned and unplanned activities. On everyday basis children enjoy mat times, short excursions , feeding the ducks, visit to Ranui Domain fields and playground. We provide extended activities for school ready children, which helps them to develop their pencil skills, numeracy and literacy and pre reading skills. Children also learn to be more independent and responsible, which helps them in smooth transition to school.

Transition to School

At Dazzling Stars ELC, we understand how important the transition to school process is. We provide a focused Transition to School programme for our children who will be heading to school within the next six months. This programme ensures that the children who leave Dazzling Stars ELC to go to school have basic skills in order to ensure that the transition into this next important stage of their learning journey is smooth and successful.

Our Playground and Ranui Domain Explorers

At Dazzling Stars ELC, we have separate playgrounds for our up to two years old and for over two year olds, providing a variety of opportunities for our tamariki to work on their skills, such as gross-motor, fine-motor, creative skills, social skills and many more. As often as possible, we aim to explore Ranui Domain with our children to help them to learn to take risks, overcome fears, make new friends, regulate emotions and create imaginary worlds as well as learn the importance of caring for our natural environment.

DAZZLING STARS HAS BREN A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR OUR CHAD, SINCE THE MOMENT WE CAME TO VISIT ON THEIR OPENING DAY WE KNEW IT WAS THE PERFECT DAY CARE SETTING FOR OUR FAMILY. Both kids have been at Dazzling Stars from the beginning and it's been the best decision we've made.
